Notes for James Philbrick
“A mariner in Hampton, he inherited the Hampton homestead and was an active and useful citizen. In 1671 he had a grant of lot 52, 40 acres in the south of Hampton called "The New Plantation" (now Seabrook). He drowned in the Hampton River, near the mouth of Cole's Creek. Jacob Chapman, p. 8, states that James may have married, first, Jane Roberts of Dover, sister of Ann.”
