‘ The family left Iowa and traveled the Oregon Trail to Oregon in April 1852. The family records were lost when a raft turned over crossing the Columbia River but the family member wrote down information that family members remembered.  The date of the record was dated 28 August 1899. The only reference to the daughter Harriet Morgan was that she was a resident of Burlington, Iowa and was married to a man "J.S. Shramm who died 1898" ‘
