Mrs. Allan Shelden of Lakeshore Road entertained Susan, Lisa and Allan IV, children of the Allan Sheldens III of Provencal Road over the holiday at her farm near Rochester, Michigan. The senior Mrs. Shelden leaves shortly for her summer home at Manchester by the Sea, Massachusetts.
University Liggett School - “The Francis J. McCann Ice Arena was formally dedicated in 1999, when renovation of the then 34-year-old arena was completed. The rink opened as an outdoor arena in 1965 and was named in honor of Francis J. "Coach" McCann - a beloved teacher and coach for 47 years at Detroit University School and its successor, Grosse Pointe University School. It was funded by gifts from Elizabeth Warren Shelden, Allan Shelden III and W. Warren Shelden.”
