Lorenzo Rugo made his first trip from Tramonti to Boston in April 1902 according to his naturalization papers and 1909 trip manifest also says 1902. He arrived in April 1902 at age 19, going to Boston to join his brother. Says that he was born ca. 1883 in Tramonti and is married. He travelled with Lorenzo Varnerin, age 46, already a US citizen.
He made another trip in September, 1909 at age 26. The 1909 trip manifest says that his wife Maria remained in Tramonti; also refers to brother Giuseppe in Boston. Occupation = mason. Already a citizen of the US in September 1909 (but apparently not?). Says he had been in Boston since 1902.

World War I draft registration (1918) shows him living at 173 Magnolia Street, the home of his brother Giuseppe, and shows his wife, at the same address, as his contact person. Gives his March 1883 birth date. Says that he is working as a mason for “Jo Rugo”, his brother.
1925 directory shows him as a mason, living at 56 Linden Street, Dorchester.
1940 census shows him as the owner of 56 Linden Street, Dorchester with his daughter’s family renting an apartment.
World War II draft registration shows him at 56 Linden Street and working for The Rugo Construction Co. at 80 Boylston Street.
