Teresa A. (Guarino) Rugo of Quincy, a retired secretary, died Monday at Epoch Senior Health Care of Norton in Easton. She was 80.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Roxbury and had lived in Quincy for many years. She attended Memorial High School.

Mrs. Rugo was a secretary for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 20 years, retiring in 1991.

She was a gourmet cook and a ballroom dancer. She enjoyed gardening and refinishing furniture. She loved ceramics and was an avid Red Sox fan.

Wife of the late Peter J., Mrs. Rugo is survived by two sons, Peter and William, both of Quincy; two daughters, Maria Aitken of Weymouth and Patricia Downey of Mansfield; two brothers, Vincent Guarino of East Boston and Las Vegas and Patrick Guarino of Revere; two sisters, Evelyn Climo of Weymouth and Dorothy Fiorino of Revere; and six grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Saint Ann's Church, Wollaston.

Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.“
