Notes for Caterina Lucia Varnerin
20 August 1904, Lucia Catterina Varnerin, age 25, unmarried, travelling from Tramonti to Boston to join her brother Gio. Batt. at 24 Clifton St., about three blocks from Norfolk Avenue.

Age 25 and living at 297 Norfolk Avenue, Dorchester, Boston, Massachusetts (the home of John Varnerin, her cousin) at the time of her marriage in September 1904.

Seems to be identified as Lucci C. Varnerin on birth record of daughter Maria. Living at 303 Norfolk Avenue when Mary was born.

Birth record for a son, no name, in 1909 also calls her Luccia C Varnerin. Living at 327 Norfolk Avenue (street probably was renumbered around this time, was #303).

Living at 85 Holden Street when Amelia is born in 1913. Also the address given on Camillo’s WW I draft registration in September 1918.

In 1920 Census, homeowners at 85 Holden Street, Dorchester. The family of Peter Furlan, his brother, are tenants. In 1914, Luigi Furlan’s Ellis Island passenger manifest said that he was the son of Domenico and brother of Pietro living on Holden Street, which seems to tie the three together as brothers and the sons of Domenico.

Camillo and Lucy in Boston in 1930 Census.

1940 Census shows them as the owners of 21 Nelson Street. Mary and Amelia are living with them. He is working as a cement finisher on a WPA project at the Navy Yard. Mary is a dressmaker at a department store and Amelia is a clerk at a laundry. Their son lives two blocks away on Dyer Street.

Naturalized in 1943, living at 21 Nelson Street, Dorchester.
