A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. today in St. Agatha's Church in Milton for Thomas R. Garvey of Hanover, president of Garvey Oldsmobile in Hingham since 1977.
Mr. Garvey died of a stroke Saturday at South Shore Hospital. He was 75 and a former resident of Milton and Cohasset. Previously, Mr. Garvey had been a part owner of Paul Maguire Chevrolet of Marshfield and vice president-general manager of the former Commonwealth Chevrolet in Boston.
Born in Randolph, he graduated from the Boston Latin School and served as a major in the Army Air Corps in Burma during World War II.
He leaves his wife, Katherine D. (Gillis); two daughters, Patricia A. Bennett and Joanne Manning of Hingham; a son, Richard T. of Braintree; a sister, Doris Vaughan of Dorchester; nine grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.
