Memorial for Edward J. Crespi, Jr. Born in Boston, MA on Feb. 19, 1928 Departed on Jan. 1, 2007 and resided in Exeter, NH. Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007
Edward J. Crespi, Jr, 78, died January 1, 2007 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, NH after a period of failing health. He was born February 19, 1928 in Boston, MA, son of the late Edward J. and Catherine (Serafini) Crespi. Edward attended the Exeter school system and was a 1945 graduate of the Exeter High School. Immediately, he enlisted into the United States Navy serving 13 months until the end of WWII. Mr. Crespi received his accounting education at the Bentley School of Accounting in Boston (now Bentley College) and went on to work at the Nichols Poultry Farm in Exeter, NH, then in New Jersey in the automobile industry. He spent 30 years in New Jersey and did many years of volunteering with little league teams there. Edward was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Exeter and worked at the food bank for many years. He was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed golfing as a member of the Exeter Country Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betsey (Monahan) Crespi of Exeter, NH, one son, Michael and Lorraine Crespi of Winston-Salem, NC, one daughter, Brenda and David Deschenes of Kingston, NH, four grandchildren, one sister, Judy Emerson of Franklin, NH and 8 nieces and nephews. A Mass of Chritian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Church, 9 Lincoln St. Exeter, NH. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery on South Rd, East Kingston, NH in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either the Rockingham County Nursing Home Residents Fund, 117 North Rd, Brentwood, NH 03833 or the St. Michael Building Fund, 9 Lincoln St. Exeter, NH 03833.“
