“Ida (Gabriele) Anitole Hyder, 97, formerly of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., died Saturday, June 7, 2015 in Rye.
She was born January 26, 1917 in Quincy, Mass., a daughter of the late Frank and Emilia (Feroli) Gabriele.
In 1970, she was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Nicholas G. Anitole, and in 2013 by husband, Edward A. Hyder. She was also predeceased by sisters, Lena Oriola, Jenny Gothage, Alba Dantono and brother, Anthony Gabriele.
Ida was known for her natural beauty, fashion, homemaking and culinary skills and her love of family. In her later years she enjoyed wearing a colorful flower in her hair as her symbol of bringing happiness to others.
She is survived by her brother, Frank Gabriele and wife Gail of Plymouth, Mass., her sisters, Rose Gabriele of Brockton, Mass., and Louise Cataldo of Bridgewater, Mass. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Elaine A. Mueller and Janice Nick both of Hendersonville, NC, grandchildren Jeffrey A. Mueller and Nicki Lynn Callies and her husband Donald all of Hendersonville, Susan C. Ledbetter and husband TJ of Charleston, SC, Timothy Nick and wife Teresa of Peachtree City, GA, Sunny Romero of Kingsport, Tenn., and Eliesha Nick Guevera and husband Tito of Lexington, SC, 17 loving great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.”
