Santa Masutti with Peter, Maria and Leonardo Varnerin
Baby Maria was born in September 1888 when Santa was age 27. Her husband Giacomo had come to the USA four months earlier in May 1888. He may have still been here when this photo was taken. It may have been sent to to him in Boston to show him his new child. The older children are Pietro and Leonardo. The older woman and the man at the rear could be Giacomo’s parents, and the woman at the rear could be his sister Giuditta who would have been 33 years old. Or perhaps Santa’s family?

Norfolk Ave. Women
Santa Masutti Varnerin seated at left. Next to her is Margherita Miniutti (wife of Pasquale Miniutti). At the far right in the white dress is Luigia Bossi Colombo (wife of Eugenio Colombo). Standing next to her is her sister=in-law Rosa Colombo Bossi (wife of Romeo Bossi) - Romeo Bossi was the uncle of Luigia Bossi Colombo). Three other women are unidentified. Picture reportedly taken ca. 1902-1903 in front of 323 Norfolk Avenue, Dorchester.
Later information from Karl Bossi suggests that it is not Margherita Miniutti, but Fiora Mazzucchelli Travi. One of the other women may be Maria Mazzucchelli Bossi
