In the 1930 Census Ned Schramm is living with the family, apparently married to Margaret for 2 years, and there appear to be two children, Ross Schramm, age 9 and born in California with a father born in Iowa and a mother born in California, and Hiram Schramm, age 7 and born in Hawaii with a father born in Kansas and a mother born in Texas. Could Ross be Ned’s son with a previous wife and Hiram Margaret’s son with a previous husband? However, the birth locations do correspond with Ned’s military assignments.
