“Clarence and Amelia did not have children and he married her later in life.  Clarence's first wife, Lydia Corey, was my great grandmother, not Amelia.   She is referred to as Amelia Schramm Bonneville in one of the newspaper announcements, so my guess is she was married to a Bonneville before she married Clarence Noble. My guess is she and Clarence weren't married very long before he died.  People in the family tell me that Clarence married her for her money (imagine she may have gotten a modest inheritance from her parents) and then his nephew essentially made off with whatever they had when Clarence died.  This info. comes from a woman named Willie Mae Ruffcorn who was Ernest Noble's stepdaughter.  She is in her 80's and still lives near Moline, Illinois. ”

Ernest Noble was appointed administrator of Clarence’s estate when he died in 1942. Amelia Schramm Noble would have been 88 years old at that time.
