1930 Census shows him at age 27, unmarried, and living with parent at 321 Norfolk Ave.
Worked in own business in “artificial stone.”

1928 postcard to the Boston Building Commissioner reporting 550 cement blocks from the Dorchester Cement Block Co. at 85 East Cottage Street provided for the construction of a 2-car garage at 16 Hubbard Street (now Hubbardston St.) has Louis Varnerin’s signature. The property at 85 Holden Street was shown on the 1933 atlas as owned by John Varnerin.

1938 directory shows Louis and Gertrude at 18 Richfield Street, Dorchester. He is a leather worker.
