"Marcella M. Serafini
Marcella M. (Nangeroni) Serafini, 96, died on January 22 at Milton Hospital.

Mrs. Serafini was a former proprietor of Chick’s Merchants’ Grille in Fanueil Hall, which she owned for 25 years.

Born in Italy, she was a volunteer and benefactor for Milton Hospital for many years.

Wife of the late Emil A. Ferroli and Americo Serafini, she is survived by a sister, Eleanor Bossi of Milton, a brother-in-law, Frank Bossi; a sister-in-law, Mary Nangeroni; two step-daughters, Virginia Higgins of Braintree and Ruth Bushlow of Florida; five nephews, Lawrence Varnerin, Robert Varnerin, Ambrose Nangeroni, Paul Nangeroni and Peter Nangeroni; nine nieces, Jean Donahue, Eleanor Bossi, Joanne Bossi, Larraine Bossi, Nancy Nangeroni, Teresa Nangeroni, Ruth Nangeroni, Marna Onorato and Mary Granda; and many grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Gregory Church in Dorchester on Monday, Jan. 27. Burial was in New Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were made by Dolan Funeral Services.

Although her parents moved from Brebbia to New York in 1900 and her two older siblings were born there, the 1910 Census of New York shows her as has having been born in Italy.

1930 Census she is married for about 1 year and living with her parents, no husband, and her last name is not Ferroli or Serafini, not legible.
